Jackson County Weekly Arrest Sources
Jackson County publishes no standalone weekly arrest log and no historical sheriff blotter. The official sheriff roster exists, but it tracks current custody. Older arrest dates can linger there. Yet there is no filter to pull a date range. That makes it useful for a multi-day check. Still, it cannot prove it holds every arrest from a given week. Think of the sources in three layers. The sheriff roster is the official one. Dated summaries from Jackson County Times and Quad Cities Daily form the second layer. A third tier of unofficial republications may stretch further back. None of them keeps the records. Keep the source name, publication date, and update time attached to each entry you cite.
Multi-day is not the same as complete. A live roster drops people who have been released. News reports pick and merge dates. Third-party pages lag behind. For a defined period, a date-bounded jail-log request is the reliable route.
Read Jackson County Arrest Dates
Work backward from the end of your target week. The page order is not necessarily booking order. What you see is an arrest date, not an intake timestamp. The roster shows no separate clock for when someone was booked.
- Write down the exact start and end dates needed.
- Open the official roster and sort by oldest or newest arrest date as appropriate.
- Record only entries whose displayed arrest dates fall within the target range, along with the source update time.
- Check the arresting-agency field to distinguish sheriff, city police, and state-police entries.
- Compare dated local reports, while labeling them as secondary reporting.
- Request the official jail log for the range if completeness matters.
- Use CourtConnect for case disposition, not the booking page.
This weekly rebuild is not the same task as the Daily Arrest Report, which focuses on newly visible records and quick custody confirmation. A weekly approach lives on date boundaries. It hunts entries that may have already left the live roster. It also has to account for gaps between sources.
Jackson County Log Entry Fields
The web roster shows fewer fields than Arkansas rules envision for the full administrative jail log. That gap matters when you compare sources. A news post and a roster card rarely carry the same detail. Keep the distinction in mind as you go.
| Item | Multi-day use |
|---|---|
| Name | Match carefully across dates and sources; common names can collide. |
| Arrest date | Places an entry in a range, but is not automatically the booking time. |
| Arresting agency | Identifies the agency attached to the roster entry. |
| Charge text | Preserve official wording and label it as an charge. |
| Classification | The roster’s felony or misdemeanor category, not a conviction. |
| Bond | Optional; a blank entry supports no conclusion. |
| Photo | May appear or may read “Photo not available”; it is not proof. |
| Roster update | Shows source freshness, not the time each field changed. |
| Release and confinement times | Potential jail-log fields, but not observed on the web card. |
A full request can surface arrest and confinement times, release time, the reason for confinement, the officers involved, and warrant or commitment data, where releasable. Missing values stay missing. Never fill them in from a news story or a photograph. If the field is blank, treat it as blank.
Weekend Jackson County Arrest Reports
Weekend and holiday arrest activity may be entered, reviewed, or reported on a different schedule. Jackson County states no weekend posting cadence. Monday's roster is therefore not a complete weekend roundup. Someone arrested late in the period may post later. A person released quickly may no longer appear at all. For a Friday-through-Monday sweep, save exact dates instead of trusting a phrase like "this weekend." Search the live roster, come back after its update time changes, and compare any dated news report. If you need the complete official set, ask the sheriff for the releasable jail log between precise start and end timestamps. Note that administrative office hours run separately from jail intake operations.
Local Jackson County Arrest Reporting
Jackson County Times has run daily or near-daily Arrests and Jail Report items. It has also published some combined-date reports. Quad Cities Daily has indexed longer Jackson County law-and-order groups, some spanning two or three weeks. It credits the sheriff as the source of its booking photos. Both are secondary publishers. Their access and indexing can change, and neither counts as the county's official total. RecentlyBooked offers a rolling 30-day Jackson County page with names, dates, agencies, charges, and images. It calls itself a third-party republication. Its counts can differ from the sheriff's. So can its update time. Its listings can also outlast a person's time on the current roster. See the unofficial 30-day page with that caveat in mind.

That page is a secondary window, not an official Jackson County archive or proof of custody. A city incident feed is a different animal again. The Tuckerman municipal live feed has carried an incident-report post. Treat it as one city's log of events.

Do not relabel that city post as a booking roster. It has no stable custody window. It also lacks the standard booking fields. An incident report and a jail roster answer different questions.
Jackson County Arrest Archives
What is on the web and what officials must keep are two different things. Arkansas jail standards require an accurate jail log plus intake or population records. State law separately sets minimum retention periods for certain criminal-investigation records. Neither rule promises that. A roster card or booking photo need not stay on a public web page just as long. The sheriff posts no historical roster archive. There is no retention schedule for booking images. And no pledge exists that an old entry stays searchable. Removal from the website does not mean the underlying jail log was destroyed. The same goes for old entries. An arrest date still online does not mean the person is still confined. For much older digging, the Arkansas State Archives holds historical newspapers and county material. Its Northeast Arkansas Regional Archives in Powhatan may also apply. Those channels are not live booking sources. Review the State Archives research instructions before making historical requests.

The archives serve older records and newspapers well. Recent jail logs are another matter. Those stay with the custodian. Ask the sheriff's office directly for anything current.
Request a Dated Arrest Log
Want a jail log for specific dates? Send the request to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, 3300 Theater Drive, Newport, AR 72112. The main line is (870) 523-5842. The fax is (870) 523-7418. Email goes to info@jacksonsheriff.org. Administrative staff answer calls on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so plan contact around those hours.
Be precise about what you want. Name the exact date range, the fields you need, and the electronic format. Ask for publicly releasable jail-log entries rather than every booking photo on file. If the custodian withholds part of the record, request the cited exemption. Ask also for the rest of the non-exempt material. No fee schedule or response deadline is published. Ask directly about lawful costs and expected timing before you commit.
A weekly arrest log is not the last word on a case. Arkansas CourtConnect shows the docket once charges reach court. For anything after filing, check with the Jackson County Circuit Clerk. The district court handling the matter is the other stop for later questions.
